Lessons In Time...the project begins

What is the Project?

St. Teilo’s High schools in a creative heritage project over 2years. Pupils will have the opportunity to learn film production skills and create films exploring the heritage of education in their community. They will develop heritage skills through working closely with Cardiff StoryMuseum, learning how to collect oral histories and use other research methods, gain accreditation from

Agored Cymru. Working with Communities First and local history groups, they will meet and interview

community members about their experiences and memories of school life.

The young people will play a key role in developing Lessons in Time. During the application stage, we are

working with pupils from St. Teilo’s High School to develop the project using creative workshops to inspire

project planning. When the project is underway, the young people will continue to shape the project and have

the opportunity to produce a creative response to their findings with the support of artists, using different art

forms to interpret the heritage they have discovered, explore their personal response to it, and share their

learning with their peers resulting in community exhibitions and at Cardiff Story Museum.
